Duas please

I feel awkward writing this post so I'll try make it short.

Please make dua for my dad who breathed his last breath on 24th Monday, August at 5.45am. He had been battling with t-cell lymphoma since March this year but there was only so much even a strong soul like my dad could take. He left home on Friday to go to A&E and never came back.

Alhamdulilah, all my siblings and mum were around him every single day and he managed to leave the world with Allah's name on his lips. His janazzah took place on the same day and he was buried here in my home town around Asr time, following a packed janazzah full of all his local friends, pakistani and bengali.

It's a very difficult, testing and sad time for us all but with the Almighty's grace, we find consolation in the fact that Allah granted our's and our dad's wishes for him to leave the world peacefully with his family around him. We stopped asking for his hayaat ever since we realised that it would be selfish of us to ask the Almighty to extend his life when it was clear my dad was well on his way to the Almighty.

He passed away on the third ruza, on a Monday, the day our nabi was born. He was fortunate in several ways Alhamdulilah, it truly is amazing. InshaAllah he will be granted the highest level of jannah.

My family are coping relatively well, I think. Considering we've never had to deal with the death of a close family member before, I'd say our faith in Allah's master plan keeps us ticking. Please pray for sabr for my family.

assalam mu alaikum,
i felt shocked and overwhelmed with sadness when i read your post. sis there is nothing that anyone can say that will give your heart ease, as i recall you are very fond of your dad and had a wonderful relationship....but regardless he was your father. When I lost someone very very close to me i took comfort in the fact that inshallah we will see them again. Death is not a fullstop but a comma. Your father has entered the next stage in Allahs plans and we can but pray that Allah gives him peace. May Allah make his grave comfortable, may it be a small piece of paradise for him to dwell in until he is granted paradise period inshallah. May Allah save him from all the azzab of the graves. May Allah be merciful to his soul. May Allah give your mother comfort and console her, Inshallah they will be reuinted. May you and your siblings remember your father everyday and pray for his wellbeing. sis I dont know what else to say or if i have said too much. I know we have not met but i felt like i knew you, and your news has hit me hard beleive or not. Inna lilahi wa innalilahi ka rajeoon

Salaam
I normally read your blog and don't comment but i just wanted to say sorry to hear about your dad. What Queen said sums it up, i pray that Allah gives you and your family strength.Allah decreed that his time has come and maybe that is better for him rather than living in pain.
I know it doesn't change the fact that you'll miss him but support each other, remember the good times, treasure the memories and most importantly pray for your father, that is the best thing you can do for him.
It will get less painful in time Insha Allah xx

Thank you to all you sisters that have remembered my family and I during your prayers, inshaAllah. All your duas offer great comfort during this sad time. *hugs to all*

@Queen: Your words really touched me sis: "death is not a full stop but a comma" - really sums up some of the thoughts in my head. InshaAllah we will all be reunited with our loved ones one day, until then all we can do is just pray for him.

@Anon/S: Thank you for stopping by and also for your comforting words. My family and I will get through this in time inshaAllah, it is one of nature's great healers.
